Dalia Wardany
Director, International Student Recruitment and Marketing
Dalia Wardany has nearly two decades of experience in both higher education and K-12 administration, including leadership roles at UC Davis and as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator. She has a Master’s in Education Leadership and a B.A. in International Relations and Journalism. She is committed to supporting students’ academic and career journeys. She enjoys coffee, vintage shopping and rooting for Egypt's national football team.

Mu Chou
Senior Assistant Director, International Recruitment
Mu Chou has 15 years of experience in international education, including roles in admissions at UC Berkeley and UC Davis and as a high school counselor in Hong Kong. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from UC Davis. Having lived and worked in California, Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong, he enjoys learning about different cultures and traditions. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching basketball, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.

Andy Yang
Assistant Director, International Recruitment (Based in China)
Andy has over 12 years of experience, beginning his career as a pediatrician in China before transitioning into international education, where he held leadership roles at a study abroad company. He holds degrees in Clinical Medicine, Tourism Management, and Business Administration, and has lived in Malaysia and New Zealand. Andy is passionate about sharing authentic study abroad experiences and enjoys sports, travel, and music.

Deepali Shah
Assistant Director, International Recruitment (Based in India)
Deepali has over seven years of experience. She previously worked with Wayne State University in India and led U.S. admissions at a student consulting firm. She holds an MBA in Human Resources and a Bachelor’s in Commerce. With over 16 years of experience in the U.S. education market, she is passionate about guiding students and families. She enjoys painting, dancing, singing, traveling, and speaks five languages.

Patch Bamrung
Assistant Director, International Recruitment (Based in Thailand)
Patch has experience as an EducationUSA Thailand Adviser, supporting students pursuing studies in the U.S. for six years. She holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in English from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, along with international training experiences. She is passionate about helping students achieve their goals and sharing cultures.

Maura Vidal
Program and Recruitment Coordinator
Maura Vidal is a Program Coordinator with 19 years of experience in education. She began as an elementary school teacher in Brazil and holds a Doctorate in Business Administration focused on Project Management from Liberty University. She is passionate about supporting international students and building global partnerships that help students succeed. She enjoys reading, traveling with her family, serving in her church, and is bilingual in Portuguese and English.

Ralph Martinez
Manager, International Student Enrollment Systems and Technology
Ralph has extensive experience across institutions including The New School, Columbia University, and Brandeis University. He holds an M.A. in Higher Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.S. from Northeastern University. Ralph is passionate about using technology to remove barriers for international students and supports their success through improved systems.

Anya Iyengar
District Fulbright Faculty Scholar Liaison, Adjunct Professor Communication Studies, De Anza College
Anya is a Lecturer in Communication Studies at DeAnza College, and San Jose State University. A San Jose native, she strongly advocates for diversity and equitable inclusion in the classroom and within society. She is co-author of an upcoming OER textbook for a Fundamentals course in Communication, and is working on a course that trains health occupation students in soft communication skills. Her hobbies include plant-based cooking, health and wellness, and interior design.

Lark Cratty
Supervisor, International Student Programs
Lark has been working at FHDA since 2008 and brings many years of experience in international education, with previous roles at UC Berkeley and California College of the Arts. She holds a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from UC Santa Cruz and an M.A. in International Education from San Francisco State University. Her international experience includes teaching in Japan, living in Spain, and traveling throughout Europe. She enjoys baking, crocheting, gardening, playing the piano, and hiking.

Brian Cheng
International Admissions Advisor
Brian has a passion for supporting students from around the world. He brings over 11 years of experience from International Programs at CSU East Bay, where he developed extensive expertise in working with diverse student populations. Brian holds a B.A. in Psychology from CSU East Bay. He enjoys learning about different cultures and understanding each student’s unique journey and goals.

Liam Akin
Immigration Advisor
Liam has over 10 years of experience in international education and is passionate about supporting students through transformative experiences. He previously worked at Kaplan International in multiple roles. He holds a BA in Japanese from SFSU and an MS in Management and Leadership from Purdue Global. Liam lived in Kyoto, Japan for 10 years, studied at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, and later taught English at the high school level.

Kimberley Lane
International Student Counselor
Kimberly is an International Counselor and Special Programs Liaison with 24 years of experience, including roles at Mills College and Case Western Reserve University. She holds a Master of Social Science Administration and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She is passionate about helping students navigate cultural and academic differences. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, especially Paris, as well as reading, music, singing, dancing, movies, and arts and crafts.


Cathy Denver
International Student Counselor
Cathy is a Counselor with over 31 years of experience supporting student success. She has worked as a Resident Director at UC Santa Barbara and in a high school career center. She holds a Master’s in Counseling/Student Affairs and a Bachelor’s in Psychology/Career Life Planning. She is passionate about guiding students through U.S. higher education and helping them reach their academic and career goals. She enjoys travel, including Japan, Bali, Spain, Greece, and Hawaii.


Mang-Ling Cho
Program Coordinator
Mang-Ling previously worked for the Peralta Community College District’s Office of International Education for nine years. She holds a B.A. in Development Studies with a minor in Global Poverty and Practice from UC Berkeley. Having lived in Taiwan and studied in Spain, she is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where international students can thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, attending live concerts, and dancing salsa and reggaetón.

Hayley Davidson
Program Supervisor
Hayley 10 years of experience in international education, including five years at ILSC Language School in San Francisco. She holds a B.A. in Communication from UC Santa Barbara and an M.A. in TESOL from San Francisco State University. Her international experience includes studying in Spain and teaching English in South Korea. She is passionate about supporting international students and enjoys baking, gardening, and hiking.

Dean, Enrollment Services
Nazy began her journey at FHDA as an ESL student in 2002 and has served the district in a variety of roles since becoming a student worker in 2005. She holds degrees from Foothill College, San Francisco State University, and San Jose State University. Having lived, studied, and worked in several countries before immigrating to the U.S., she brings a global perspective to her work. She is passionate about supporting students and enjoys travel, art, and collecting dolls from around the world.

Born and raised in Beijing, China, Jamie has over 10 years of experience in international education, including roles at the Academy of Art University and CSU East Bay. She has extensive experience in international admissions, student advising, and F-1 student support as a Designated School Official (DSO). She holds a master's in Communications & Media Technologies. Jamie is passionate about supporting students to achieve their goals and enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.

Allison Largent
International Student Advisor
Allison has 18 years of experience in the district, including 9 years at De Anza, and previously worked at UCSC Extension and UC Santa Cruz. She holds an M.A. and B.A. in Linguistics with a minor in Italian Studies, and studied in Bologna, Italy. Allison is passionate about supporting international students and values the diversity they bring. She enjoys the outdoors, travel, and studying languages.

Andrea Santa Cruz
International Student Advisor
Andrea is an International Student Advisor with 21 years of experience, including 18 years at San Jose City College. She studied at San Jose City College and San Jose State University and has lived and studied in Mexico. She enjoys learning about students’ cultures and traditions while sharing American and Mexican customs. Fluent in Spanish, Andrea enjoys gardening, cooking, trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Denica Kelly
International Student Counselor
Denica is a Counselor with 10 years of experience supporting international students at SJSU International Gateways and ELS Language Centers, with experience in admissions, counseling, immigration advising, housing, and student programs. She holds an M.S. in Counseling and Guidance and a B.A. in English. She lived in Germany during her school years and is passionate about helping students achieve their goals. She enjoys travel and the outdoors, especially Banff National Park.


Manija Ansari
International Student Counselor
Manija is an Academic Counselor & Instructor with 8 years of experience in education and over 18 years overall. She began as an ESL tutor at Mission College while a student. She holds a B.S. in Finance and an M.A. in Educational Counseling from San Jose State University. Having lived in Afghanistan, Germany, Uzbekistan, and Russia, she brings a global perspective. She is passionate about supporting diverse students and enjoys travel, culture, music, food, and Bali.

Jaclyn Su
Administrative Assistant
Jaclyn is an Administrative Assistant with seven years of experience at Foothill-De Anza, where she began her career in higher education. She holds a bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego and has lived in China, Australia, and the United States. Jaclyn enjoys helping international students navigate complex processes and adjust to new systems. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, speaking Mandarin, and traveling to learn about different cultures.

Ines is a Program Coordinator with 13 years of experience, having started at ISP as a student assistant. She studied at a university in Spain and at De Anza College. Originally from Spain, Ines has lived in France, Colorado, and California, where she came as an international (F-1) student. She enjoys learning about different cultures and celebrations, and previously played tennis for De Anza College.
